Importing certain chemical substances into India, even when intended strictly for non-insecticidal use, requires prior approval from the Central Insecticides Board & Registration Committee (CIBRC). Many multiuse chemicals are regulated under the Insecticides Act, 1968, due to their potential application in pest control.
